Women’s World Day of Prayer
Women’s World Day of Prayer is a worldwide event when ladies all around the world meet to worship.
It is interdenominational and the first Friday in March is set aside each year so from sunrise to sunset women all around the world are meeting to worship and praise their Lord. The service is written by the ladies of a different country each year. Last year was Egypt and next year will be Cuba.
The service this year has been written by the ladies from The Bahamas and the theme is: “Jesus said to them: ‘Do you know what I have done to you?’”
This year the service for our area will be held on Friday 6th March at 8pm, in our church, Willowfield. Our speaker will be the wife of our Bishop, Mrs Liz Millar. Worship will be led by Zara Monteith, our family worker, and Hilary McClay will be leading the service. We would ask all ladies from Willowfield to please come along and support us and make all the visitors from the local churches welcome.
Tea, coffee and tray bakes will be served after the service. We look forward to seeing you there.
