I’m Helen and I am moving into the second year of being a Willowfield year out-er. I am originally from Devon, England, and after studying Geography for 3 years at Birmingham University I moved to Belfast in September 2008. It has been brilliant to be on the year out team and it has been and is a privilege to see Jesus heal, transform and move in people and situations through different activities I have been involved in. I have been stretched, challenged and experienced new things.

This year I am continuing to be involved with www.55, Kidz Klub, Active Youth, Knockbreda Detached, play in the worship team and lead a Life Group. A new focus for me is taking on and developing Willowfield's Food Store which I'm really excited about due to its potential to fulfil real practical need, coupled with opportunities to build relationships with people in our community and beyond.

I also work part time in the local Post Office. In my spare time, I love baking, having people round for dinner, seeing the sights of NI, going to the cinema, playing in Belfast's Studio Symphony Orchestra and hula hooping. I also love travelling and volunteer work abroad, having previously done so in Malawi, Thailand and Uganda.
