I was born in Antrim and lived there till I was 18, I think I cried when I left!! I then moved to just outside Templepatrick (no I am not a farmer!!). Studied in England for 6 and half years and now I live just off the Cregagh Rd.   I am the youngest of 4 - two older sisters and an older brother and then me. I used to cry when my mum called me the baby of the family! After reading this I have talked about crying twice already, maybe I was (still am) a baby!

Anyway, I am all grown up now and married nearly 3 years to my lovely wife Lynne. Lynne is a primary school teacher. Well not at this moment, because we have just had our first child on 3 rd January 2007. Elijah James Rutherford who is just adorable and makes my heart skip a beat every time I look at him. Lynne teaches reception year and plays in the sand pit with them all day long, well that's what I think anyway! Don't worry, she won't read this and will never know I am taking the mick!

I love all sports, (seriously, if it's a competition I will watch it or try and play in it), but football is by far the greatest game on the planet. I am an ardent Liverpool fan and I think Stephen Gerrard may have become an idol to me! My favourite Bible verse changes all the time. But one that has come back to me recently is very simple (Probably why it means so much to me!). John 1:4. In Him is life, and that life is the light of men. Simply means that life is all about Him. He is the meaning of life and we have the absolute privilege of showing that life off to others. Also Rom 8: 38-40…. Absolutely nothing can separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. It really does mean absolutely nothing can separate us from His love, check it out and see if you can find anything that can separate you from that love.
