Life Groups

There are currently 24 small groups which meet each week at various times and on different days, catering for teenagers through to octogenarians, but all come under the collective name of Life Groups. These gatherings are a vital part of the heartbeat of church life in Willowfield and it is through these groups that individuals can get connected with others that are at similar stages of life and build positive friendships that will help them grow. The term ‘Life’ is used because we believe that groups should be about:

        • Helping each person grow and live life to the full
        • Supporting each other through real life issues, and
        • Bring life to others

Each group has the freedom to develop its own style but which ever one you are part of you will enjoy refreshments, Bible based discussions and strong friendships. Although each group has a leader, the aim is for everyone to look out for each other and these gatherings should also be seen as safe environments where you can grow in confidence in the use of your spiritual gifts. It is also hoped that each group will feel able to connect with either the communities around where they meet or with areas within the parish. This outreach can happen through social events, Besom projects or other practical expressions of God’s love.
