Christians Against Poverty
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service. CAP aims to show God’s love in action by providing sustainable poverty relief through debt counselling, advice and practical help. CAP’s unique ‘hands on’ approach empowers people to help themselves out of poverty and be released from the fear, oppression and worry generated by overwhelming debts. Willowfield have partnered with CAP and a number of other local churches to provide this life changing service for our community. We have a full-time CAP Centre Manager and a team of volunteers who are ready and willing to help everyone - regardless of religion or beliefs - to take back control of their lives. If you need help, or you know of someone who could benefit then please ring the CAP helpline number below. Further information on how the process works and what happens next is available on the CAP website. If you enjoy getting alongside people, have experience of helping people struggling financially or just have a heart for the people then you might like to get involved. We need people that can come out on daytime visits with the Centre Manager, people to prayer for the work, people to help at CAP events and lots more.
